PolicyDock is proud to announce it is preparing for its SOC 2 audit. Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), SOC 2 is a technical audit specifically designed for service providers storing customer data in the cloud and software providers to abide by strict security practices and protocols.

An SOC 2 audit is performed by an independent Certified Public Accountant or accountancy organization and is an important component in regulatory oversight for firms that provide services and systems to business. Such providers include those in areas such as cloud computing, Software as a Service, and Platform as a Service.

The report provides detailed assurance about an organisation’s security policies and procedures. This includes the security, availability, processing, integrity, and confidentiality of customer data.

“We are with accounting firm Lurie LLP for a SOC 2 audit because we are confident that our technology is robust and secure and we want to conform to well-known industry standards and best practices,” said PolicyDock CEO Roger Ying. “This process will give our customers peace-of-mind when using our product and services that handle sensitive data.”

All SOC auditors must adhere to the professional standards established by the AICPA. After a successful SOC audit, the service organization will be allowed to use the AICPA logo on its website.
